Hi Amy

Silver Star is amazing-we loved it there and definitely would like to go back someday. So thanks again for all your help with making our family holiday very special and memorable! Hope you have had a fun summer :).
Kind regards

Hi Amy,
Like everyone else I have been saddened by the recent events in and around Christchurch in recent weeks. I sincerely hope you and those close to you are all OK.
I just wanted to say thank you and to let you know that our trip was great. Apart from a few minor delays with flights due to weather everything went exactly to plan.
We managed to slip into Aspen airport through a small break in the weather during a snow storm. Our flight was one of only 2 to land that evening so we were very lucky.
The week we were there was the best snow for the season up to that point. In fact we had over 50cm in the first 2 days & were able to ski every day without being adversely affected at the conditions at all. The last 3 days were beautiful sunshine with temps as low as -24°C so the snow conditions held up really well.
The Laurelwood studios were excellent. In fact we got an upgrade on day 2 to a newly refurbished condo which was quite unexpected. Our first condo was OK but well used and our upgrade was very nice. We were on the ski-in/out level and the closest room to the slopes and the ski racks so the location was great.
Some of the really good things were:
- We also had the added bonus of free international phone calls to both fixed & mobile phones from the condo.
- Prices of ski gear etc were quite reasonable
- Free busses around village + to/from Aspen
- Uncrowded slopes with no lift cues
- Radio tag lift passes were great
- Location of condo
- Laurelwood staff were excellent
So, thank you Amy, we had a blast and we appreciate all that you did for us. We feel we got a great deal and our expectations were exceeded.
Regards,
Jeff & David

Hi Amy,
I have attached these low-res photos of our trip; please feel free to put them on your website or whatever, and let me know if you would like full resolution copies.
Sorry, we did not take any action shots; too busy skiing!
Also happy to talk to any of your clients who are considering the resort etc.
We had an awesome time; the whole experience was perfect for us thank you.
There was a reasonable snow fall over the first couple of days and as the visibility was bad in the higher bowls we skied the tree glades on Morrisey, which was heaven with the fresh powder. We could spend the whole morning flying through the glades on untracked powder and hardly see anybody; we could not believe it!
It then cleared to a bluebird day on the third and we skied the upper mountain bowls, which was equally amazing.
With Spring Break on the weekend, it was apparently busy, but we only waited in one queue, and we got to meet a few locals.
What we like best was:
- The overnight flight and connections was easy and low stress, and we were fresh for skiing on the first day.
- Coast Sundance Lodge was great; had really nice view over the covered bridge. Good to have a real live pub on the ground floor too.
- Enjoyed putting boots on while sitting on the couch, then walking out the back door to a choice of 2 high-speed quads.
- The snow was amazing; we had fresh snow for 4 of the 6 mornings; usually 10-15cm with some deeper powder in some of the glades.
- There were no queues; on most runs we would ski without seeing anybody.
- The atmosphere of the place is completely friendly and relaxed; absolutely no aggro or performance anxiety. Has the friendliest lifties.
Are counting sleeps now until the next trip
Cheers,
Fraser, Belinda & Family
