Mike joined Dive Fish Snow in December 2004. He completed two part-time dive courses and is a qualified Open Water Instructor. His overseas diving experience includes liveaboard Dive Trips on the Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea - Australia, Port Vila - Vanuatu, Beqa Lagoon, Coral Coast and Tokoriki Island in Fiji, the Vava'u and Ha'apai Islands in Tonga, Rottnest Island (WA Australia), the Maldives, Niue and Papua New Guinea.
Mikes most memorable dive thus far is the Shark Encounter dive at Fiji's Beqa Lagoon! His greatest ambition is to dive with large schools of pelagic sharks or marlin and sailfish herding and devouring bait balls. Mike’s Diploma in Travel and Tourism opened doors into the tourism industry, in which he worked for four years before leading to his current position at Dive Fish Snow Travel. Mike’s PADI Open Water Instructor course provided great under water experiences while providing an opportunity to learn more about diving!

Hey Mike,
The trip was absolutely amazing. For starters I got upgraded to The Argo before the trip left, which is a beautiful boat. But the crew were outstanding on the whole trip. In every way they went over and above expectations in terms of service. The diving was fantastic, a slow start but by the end of the week I'd done a dive where I probably saw about 200 hammerheads, a whale shark, a manta, galapagos sharks, every type of ray you can imagine and some dives where we saw dozens of turtles including some that were huge!
I would have no problem in recommending Undersea Hunter and the Cocos Islands trip to anyone thinking of going. I'm in Roatan in Honduras at the moment diving, and then off to Belize next before coming back to NZ in March.
Cheers

"The trip was great! The reef more beautiful than i could have imagined. I would say flying to lizard island to start the dive is a must as you could really appreciate seeing the reef from the air and this adds and element of a feeling like a true expedition so I would encourage booking people on that south bound route rather than meeting the boat and leaving from Cairns.
I've included a few of the best pics!
thanks again"
