Solomon Water Sport operates from Sanbis Resort and Gizo hotel, diving the same dive spots as Dive Gizo.
Their dive boat twin 100 HP Outboard carry eight divers. This dive boat is easy to exit and enter.
Surface intervals are all part of the dive experience, where light refreshments are available, including tea or coffee on nice secluded island or go snorkelling in the pristine waters.
The boat has VHS radio, GPS. It almost goes without saying that Solomon Watersport also has oxygen and a comprehensive first aid kit on board at all times.
Pre & post dive set up is all part of the service. No slugging heavy loads on or off the boat for our guests. It gets even better, you can relax filling in your log book, or looking up the strange fish you've just witnessed, whilst our staff rinse off and store your diving equipment. No fuss, no hassle is our aim.
FISHING
Solomon Watersport offers deep sea game fishing around Gizo and the sport is still very much in its infancy in these fish rich waters. These fish do not know what a lure is and they bite hard and fight even harder.
Game fish include Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Broadbill, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Dolphin Fish, Rainbow Runner, Dogtooth Tuna, Spanish Mackerel, Giant Trevally, Coral Trout, Red Seabass, Jobfish, Sweetlip, Emperor and much more. For the flyfisherman there is Bonefish, Mangrove Jack and Spottail Bass amongst others.
They also provide reef trolling, estuary fishing and river fishing.
Economy fishing can be done on wither a 8m Oceantech longboat powered by twin 100Hp four strokes or a 22 foot Yamaha longboat set up with a single 100Hp Yamaha, a shade canopy and centre console for walk around fishing. This boat specialises in reef and river fishing, but also gets large numbers of sailfish and marlin to 120 kgs. There is a good range of medium and light tackle from 25 kg down.
