Accommodation on Hideaway Island has been built with a traditional Melanesian flavour, scattered amongst the jungle and tropical plants that cover the island.
The style and standard ranges from private oceanside bungalows overlooking the water to quad share dormitories with shared facilities.

Ocean Front 1 bedroom Bungalows, private bathrooms

These bungalows have magnificent sea views and feature coral walls, coconut beams and their own ensuite, all combined in a pleasing tropical decor. All the finishings are made of local hardwoods, and most bungalows have Hideaway’s signature giant clam shell sinks in the bathrooms.

Bungalows can accommodate up to 2 adults with 3 children at a squeeze (at no extra charge).  Each bungalow has a patio area and is screened with foliage and flower gardens to ensure guest privacy.  It’s a romantic’s dream!  1 bedroom bungalows are bigger and have a separate bedroom.  Each bungalow has a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Recommended if traveling with 2 or 3 children, or triple share.

Beachfront Twin/Double Room, shared bathrooms.

Located right on the beach with nice sea views, the lodges are in a prime position for lazing and watching the world go by. They are located in a house-like structure with a wide wrap-around covered veranda with tables and chairs out the front and sides: ideal for lounging on and taking in the dramatic views. Each room has two single or one double bed, a small cupboard and a hand basin. Separate shower and toilet facilities are close by. 

Divers Dorm, shared bathrooms

The new two storey building incorporates six new quad share rooms. Each room has a ceiling fan, individual bunk lights, power outlet and lockers. The central communal area provides a lounge area for guests. There are separate male & female changing facilities, each with two showers, three toilets & two wash basins.

Upstairs, is a conference room. This room is situated to provide a great view of Hideaway’s beach overlooking Mele bay, with windows along all the walls and French doors leading out to a large balcony.

Two Bedroom Luxury Oceanside Villa

Originally built by one of the owners as their private residence, now you can enjoy a taste of luxurious island living in this beautiful 190m3 villa, architected to take full advantage of the west facing oceanfront location. The superb view can be fully appreciated due to the 3m high ceilings, open plan design and tall bi-fold doors wrapped around the living room and master suite. A high central vaulted ceiling, topped with a wide skylight, allows the morning sunlight to stream in and provide a warm glow reflecting off the rosewood clad ceilings. Oversized Italian tile throughout the villa, and a raised rosewood floor in the dining & living room area, add to the feeling of style and elegance. The villa includes satellite TV, DVD and CD player with music piped to three separate sets of speakers in the living room & bedrooms.

Outside, the covered veranda opening onto a large deck enables you to enjoy the unobstructed 180 degree ocean views, whatever the weather. A sunset cocktail with the soft sounds of the ocean lapping in the background can be yours to enjoy every night.

Take a few steps back and you can retire to the large master suite which opens directly onto the deck. With a privacy wall enclosing the villa and bi-fold doors that can be opened to the elements, true indoor/outdoor living can be yours to enjoy. You'll be cooled by the light ocean breezes and large ceiling fans provide additional airflow in all the living areas. Air-conditioning in the master suite gives you extra cooling for even the hottest days.

The smaller second bedroom's 2.5m high French doors open out to a charming private garden, where the sounds of the ocean mix with those of the topical birdsong.
