Tranquillity Eco-Tourism Resort enjoys an isolated beach location,  full of  peace and quiet; a refuge from the hustle and bustle of Port Vila only 35 minutes away.

Do not expect to find the usual  Western style beach resort at Tranquillity.  It’s basic, but clean and comfortable and perfect for people wanting an Island style experience.

The Island style Beach House restaurant and bar are located at the northern end of the resort, with compressor station, dive gear house and generator facility / workshop in the centre near the wharf. Accommodation fares are located at the southern end.

There are seven Beachfront fares and Dormitories, all  built 'island style' with a thatched roof and insect-screens. There are comfortable single and double beds in five of the fares, which can sleep from 2 to 4 guests). The large family fare has a double bed and up to 5 single beds and the dorm has eight singles. Each fare has its own private bathroom facilities, with hot and cold shower and flush toilet. Each fare has a small private beach area in front.

Generated power is available at different times during the day, however most lighting and utility systems are based on Eco Tourism style with Solar Power and Biological Waste Disposal Systems. Each fare is provided with a torch and hurricane lantern.

Meals are included in the price, as there are no alternative eating places on the island. You’ll enjoy three quality meals per day as well as morning and afternoon tea/coffee. Any special dietary needs can be looked.

Meals are served on large timber slab tables in the beach house. Beer, soft drinks and wine are available for purchase.

Coongoola

This is a “Must do” excursion ideal for all ages, either for guests staying at Tranquillity or in Port Vila.

Coongoola is a spacious 23 mtr timber sailing ketch with twin diesel back up power, dinghies, snorkelling gear, and can carry up to 60 passengers.

Visit secluded coves and beaches of fine white coral sand. Snorkel or dive in crystal clear warm water.  Feed tame fish, maybe see dolphin at play, and visit a baby turtle conservation rookery. Enjoy a dip in the clear crystal water, Snorkel the coral reef, savour a delicious BBQ lunch,  soak up the sun with a cool drink or two, or curl up on the sand under a palm tree and relax.

This trip can be adventurous, fun, romantic or just plain relaxing. There is optional scuba diving available and the diving and snorkelling is GREAT!

After lunch, you’ll be served tropical fruits as the crew hoist the Main and Jib for an afternoon sail back to Havana Bay.
