Accommodation
All accommodation is conveniently located close to the ski lifts. You can either walk to the nearest lift or catch the free shuttle bus that circles the village all day.
In most Pensiones, and some Lodges, accommodation with ensuite bathrooms is hard to find and shared facilities are common. If you want a room with a private bathroom, you need to book early!
Accommodation Options
Accommodation in Japan is fairly basic compared to Western ski resorts. Rooms are smaller, with the bare minimum of necessities, eg small wardrobes (if any), smaller beds and even smaller bathrooms.
Self Contained Accommodation
There is a large selection of self contained accommodation available in the village. This includes basic cottages and chalets right through to luxury western style apartments.
Self contained apartments and cottages are perfect for families or groups of friends. Most include kitchens and all have their own private bathrooms.

Hotels
Most Hotels have ski in / ski out accommodation and are of excellent standard and in good locations. Many have a huge range of facilities, plus extras like souvenir shops, restaurants and karaoke.
Pensiones
The Pensione style of accommodation is the most prevalent in Niseko and offers a truly Japanese experience. Similar to a B&B, they are usually run by local families. The service and food is always excellent. En-suite bathrooms are rare.

Lodges
Lodges are a larger version of a pensione, but usually have en suite bathrooms. They usually offer more amenities, like games rooms, large Japanese style ofuro baths and common lounge areas. Lodges are also usually located closer to the lifts.
