| Latest News from North America |

All North American Resorts
Are
now up and running with better than average snow conditions for
this time of year.
LONG LONG SEASONs: most ski resorts close mid April to late May,
with generally the best conditions from mid Feb.– early April.
Now, don’t think that because the resorts close in April –
May that it’s because of lack of snow. No:
it’s due to lack of skiers and riders from their local area.
The snow is still great!
Some resorts, particularly around the Banff area boast of their
best days being in April, with longer sunnier blue sky days, and
a great snow base. They often close with a 3-4 meter base!

| Are you a novice/intermediate skier?
Don’t be intimidated by the thought of skiing or boarding
the amazing slopes in North America if you’re a novice or
intermediate skier.
Clients
planning their first international skiing holiday often have a misconception
that the skiing in North America is difficult and may be beyond
their capabilities. The reality is quite the opposite.
There’s no ice, no queues, no closures, no crowds. Your accommodation,
restaurants, bars and shops are all on mountain. To start your day,
simply open your doors, put on your skis/board and the fun starts
right then at your doorstep.
The long green or blue runs are mostly 3-5kms long, are uncrowded
and you don’t have to worry about that out of control beginner
behind you! Most runs are groomed each night so it is easy skiing.
They are long easy cruising wide open tree lined runs, very pretty,
very easy and exhilarating. This is skiing the way it’s meant
to be!
The bottom line is, if you can ski in NZ’s tough
weather and mountain conditions, you will find the conditions in
North America paradise!
