Late March: American Ski Classic. Skiing legends, entertainment celebrities and corporate America join together on the slopes of Vail Mountain during the Countrywide American Ski Classic. This event combines the thrill of both professional and amateur ski racing with an array of entertainment options for fans of all ages. In its 24th year, the American Ski Classic is the oldest and largest skiing competition and festival of its kind in North America. The event culminates with a charitable gala dinner and auction.

Early April: Taste of Vail. Immerse your senses in the flavours, aromas and sights of the 16th Annual Taste of Vail. Enjoy the best wines from over 50 of the country’s most noted vintners. Sample the most exquisite fare of the Vail Valley’s world class restaurants. Experience the dazzling spring snow, the non-stop excitement, the galleries, the shops and the incomparable views that makes this event an annual favourite.
Early April: Vail Film Festival. Presented by the Vail Film Institute, a non-profit arts organization dedicated to fostering independent cinema, the Film Festival strives to encourage artistic innovation and promote new and creative filmmaking. World premieres, independents, celebrities, forums and parties make this a must-be-at event for anyone interested in film.
Mid April: Spring Back to Vail. Vail’s huge end of the season bash includes free concerts with national headlining bands, unique competitions and the World Pond Skimming Championships. Malay Day. In honuor and loving memory of Vail Team Rider Josh Malay who passed away in February of 2004, this annual event comprises a Pipe, Jib and Jump Jam at the Golden Peak Terrain Park. All proceeds benefit the Josh Malay Memorial Fund with free food, music and prize giveaways throughout the day.
